HOW WE FILM THE FUNERAL SERVICE
Wearing smart morning suites filming will be of a discrete nature with full careful consideration and respect shown to all funeral guests.
Every funeral video will personally tailored, there is however a similar procedure which works best as follows:
Main Funeral Service / Place of Worship
Normally the service held at the place of worship be it church cathedral synagogue temple memorial hall or mosque will be the main funeral event and will be recorded, without, it can be difficult to remember the words spoken afterwards, the video records and provides a lasting loving memory spoken by clergy, family, relatives and friends celebrating the deceased persons life.
Start from the Home
Most bereaved families prefer more funeral video coverage, often the funeral video will start from the home filming family and friends waiting for the funeral hearse or horse and carriage an alternative method of coffin transport. The cortège precession moves to the main service where friends and family will be waiting, followed by the Order of Service.
The cortège may move to a crematorium for a final service, which can be captured again with more words spoken.

Interment / Burial
Reception / Wake, Refreshments
Many funerals will then move on to a hall, house or venue for refreshments or wake. In a more relaxed environment guests can meet, relax, eat, drink and catch-up with friends and relatives not seen for a long time, many bearing personal memories to share.
Robin Hood Golf Club near to Robin Hood cemetery makes an ideal venue.
Key points - Having attended many funerals filming is very discrete, personal attire will be appropriate to the occasion, the cameraman will fit in discretely amongst and be part of the guests except filming the church or crematorium service when the camera will be tripod mounted. As many of the funeral stages will be filmed as required , the home, the church service, the crematorium or cemetery interment burial and the reception of guests afterwards for refreshments.
Other Service Providers
Whether Scottish or not the bagpipes have character befitting a funeral service. I often work with Piper Major Martin Hewins of Pipergram International. The piper can walk and pipe in front of the cortege play during the service and play when those paying their respects depart from the church or crematorium from inside, near the exit or from the graveyard making the sound distant. For more about a piper at a funeral click the piper picture.
Wings of White provide doves based in Bagington near Coventry Kenilworth Leamington Spa and having worked with Rod Simpson twice in under a week at the cemetery Lentons Lane Coventry by sheer coincidence I can fully recommend his professional expertise.
